Our
Story
Dr. Angela is passionate about supporting parents and families to get off to a healthy, robust start. She is currently completing a curriculum to become board certified in Breastfeeding and Lactation Medicine, a robust training much like an IBCLC but specific to a physician's level of expertise. She always utilizes osteopathic principles and treatment in her care of pregnant patients to support healthy birth mechanics. When there are birth challenges, she is eager to support families in their recovery. Latch challenges, sore nipples, tongue tie, oversupply or low supply, torticollis, plagiocephaly, colic, postpartum anxiety and depression are among the many reasons families have sought her care.
After her own planned homebirth turned hospital transfer turned emergency cesarean under general anesthesia turned difficult latch, weight loss and tongue tie challenges (phew!), Dr. Marchant has lived, and survived, through birth trauma, postpartum anxiety and near loss of breastfeeding relationship. She brings wisdom, compassion and expertise to families who are struggling to feed their babies.
